Julie's favorite place to go as a child was her local library. She loved the smell of old books, and the many adventures that awaited her on their pages.

As a freelance writer Hidden Ohio offered the opportunity to further explore areas of her great state and to share these discoveries with children.

When not writing, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, including, traveling to nearly all 50 states, reading, exercising, and walking Ginger, the happy go lucky lab that claims the Rubini family as her own. She still visits her library several times a week!
