My presentations are a reflection and sharing of my experiences in life from my youth and through to the writing process and the creation of Hidden Ohio.

I have had many opportunities to speak to organizations, conferences and school children throughout the years in my various roles in life, including stints at the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Toledo, Claire's Day Inc. founder, and now writer of Hidden Ohio.

I've benefitted from witnessing the magic that our Claire's Day participating authors and illustrators weave into their presentations every year at our event. Their fun-enriched and diversified programs have helped me create my unique offering.

My fun, inspiring and creative program shares my background, my tragic loss of Claire, our wonderful tribute to her, and the process of writing Hidden Ohio.

Children will not only learn about our great State of Ohio, but also be inspired by my messages of hope, and belief that we can all achieve whatever we put our minds to.

My audio visual program follows my journey through my upbringing to my current life, with reading, writing and love of travel at the very core.

I'll explore the area specific to my visit with school children, encouraging them to learn more about their own backyards. Students will be challenged to discover hidden gems in their hometowns!

Programs for Schools:
Up to 3 sessions per day, per school.
Book signing during lunch or after school
Up to 300 students per session

Equipment to be supplied by school:
I have a wonderful PowerPoint presentation to share with your students. I need the following equipment in order to do so:

  • Laptop computer
  • Projector
  • Screen or white wall
  • Extra AV cart or small table
  • Microphone (Lapel preferred)
  • Extension cord
  • Lots of enthusiastic kids!

School Visit Arrangements:
Honorarium upon request. I offer discounted rate to schools within a 120 mile radius of Toledo, and multiple school discounts as well. Send an email and include possible dates and type of event. I'll be in touch very soon!

Book ordering info:
Schools get a discount on books if ordering direct from the publisher (up to 40%) and up to 20% if ordering from a book store. Use these savings to pass on to your students to encourage sales, or use the money as a fundraiser.

Get kids excited and inspired before my visit!
